In 1979 Jim and Ken Leaman, aka the “ J” and the “K” in JK Mechanical, started a small HVAC shop right here in Willow Street. They had no idea the company they were creating at the time would grow to include many more services and departments, which now care for clients in all of Lancaster County and the surrounding areas. Today we are still committed to the same core values and community centeredness that they had. In this blog we will introduce you to some faces on the HVAC side of the company as well as walk you through what you can expect when you call for any of your HVAC needs!
We still have two individuals leading our residential HVAC service team and one of them is another Ken! Our Residential Service Manager, Ken Northeimer and our Assistant Service Manager, Chris Jones are in the office everyday ensuring that all of our clients are taken care of and our techs have everything they need to succeed. Ken has been with the company in this role for 19 plus years and has seen it change and grow.

We are confident that both Ken and Chris uphold the vision Jim and Ken had for an HVAC service team when it was created and their numerous years of experience help lead the way for our technicians to be experts in the craft.
So now that you have learned a little about how we got started in HVAC lets walk through what you would experience if you were to call in today! When you first call the company, you will be greeted by one of our CRS team members (Client Relation Specialists). They are the friendly voices you hear first every time you call! Once they gather some basic information from you, they will then connect you to the correct department for your needs. If you are looking for a new system or a replacement system, you will speak to our Sales Coordinator Ashley from our RHR (Residential HVAC Replacement) Department. Ashley will connect you with one of our Comfort Consultant and share your needs as well as take down all of your information. Your Comfort Consultant will reach out to you directly to set up a meeting to discuss your needs and wants in a new system and to complete a site assessment. Then once you have discussed, worked through, and signed on all the details of your contract, our RHR Project Manager, Rob will reach out to set up a time for our expertly trained installation techs to come out and get the job done. We strive to make the whole process easy, transparent, and fast for you on both the RHR Department as well as the service side.
In order to maintain those same qualities of ease, transparency, and fast service we have a very similar process on the service side of our HVAC department which also starts with our CRS team. The CRS team member will look up your existing account (or create your account if you are a new client), create a work order for whatever need you are having, and then direct you to our Dispatcher, Amanda. She will get you scheduled for our earliest available call and send a technician out for service to your home. After the technician is finished, our billing department will send you an invoice and everything is all set!
