Chris Leaman
Owner / President
As a second-generation owner, Chris leads the organization. Prior to joining the family business in 2004, Chris spent ten years with Tyco Electronics in a variety of product design and business development roles. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Grove City College and an MBA from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He has a passion for excellence and is thankful for the opportunity he has as a business owner to have a positive impact on our people and our community.

Outside of the office, Chris is an active member of Grace Church at Willow Valley. He lives in West Lampeter Township with his wife, Alison, and two daughters, Anne and Laura. Being a husband and father keeps him very busy, but in his free time, Chris enjoys traveling (especially to new destinations with his wife), working on projects around his house and in his yard, playing games with his family, walking in the woods with his two golden retrievers and playing golf.
Janet Long
Janet is responsible for our financial team and manages the assets of our company. She is a stickler for processes and procedures. With more than 25 years of professional experience in accounting and business management, Janet brings the knowledge and administrative structure to the JK Team. As part of her role, Janet manages all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, inventory, purchasing, fleet, and tools.

Janet has been married to her husband Ted for more than 30 years. They have a married daughter, two sons, and 3 dogs. She is a member of Grace Church at Willow Valley, and also serves on the board of Children’s Fellowship of India.
Ken Northeimer
Residential Service Manager
Ken leads the JK team of residential service technicians and is responsible for managing all aspects of our residential service operations, as well as service sales and business development. Ken started in the industry as a teenager working summers and remains as passionate and committed today as he was then.

Ken is a father of two and enjoys golf, movies, music, and auctions. Ken wishes he had more free time to work in his woodshop, spoil his grandchildren, and take more trips to Lancaster Central Market with his wife, Doris.
Brian Shimp
Technical & Training Director
Brian Shimp has been a valued member of the JK Mechanical team since we were called JK Enterprises in 1988. With over 33 years of experience, Brian has spent time working as a helper, an installer, a service technician, the service manager, and now serves as the JK Technical and Training Director in order to share his wealth of knowledge with the JK Team. Brian has his Universal EPA certification as well as NATE certifications in Heat Pump Service, Gas/Air Service, and Geothermal Installation and Service. Brian lives in Strasburg with his wife and son. He hopes to be a part of this great team for years to come.
Chris Broyles
Director of Commercial Services
Chris has more than 21 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Chris is OSHA 30, NFPA70E, and EPA 40CFR certified. HVAC Controls and technology is not just his day job but also something Chris enjoys continually educating himself on in his spare time. He originally worked for JK on the Residential team in the early 00’s and left to pursue his interest in the Commercial world. Once JK developed a branch for Commercial service, he was asked to come back to head that team in 2015. When he isn’t trying to keep up with his young son, he enjoys camping, open-source computer programming and the sights & smells of Autumn.

Matthew Kemper
Comfort Consultant
As a sales consultant, Matt specializes in designing heating and air conditioning systems that are unique to each of our client’s specific needs. With more than 21 years of heating and air conditioning experience, Matt can provide a wide variety of smart heating and cooling solutions for any application or budget.

Matt lives in Drumore with his wife Shannon and their six children. As a family they enjoy vacations, watching movies, trips to the park, and attending church. Matt’s other interests include fishing, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors.
Dan Senft
Comfort Consultant
Dan has over 20 years of experience in various residential heating and cooling designs and solutions. In those 20 years, Dan has helped thousands of clients find the best choice for their home’s comfort and energy saving needs. Dan likes to approach each customer request and find the correct solution as if it were his own home.

Dan lives with his wife, Chrissy, and their two English bulldogs in York. Dan has two sons and a daughter. Dan enjoys running, grilling, and relaxing outside with family and friends.
Zach Funke
Comfort Consultant
Zach Funke lives in Mountville with his beautiful wife Kaitlin, three children Callen, Trey, and Jovie, and a 9-year-old Weimaraner named Crix. He has been in the HVAC field for 11 years and at JK for 3. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports (especially the Buffalo Bills!), coaching his kids in their sports, and golfing as well as attending Manor church in Millersville.
Jason Stark
Home Services Specialist
As JK Mechanical's residential Home Services Specialist, Jason Stark specializes in Generac Generator and Solar design and sales. Jason has been a part of the JK team for over 17 years after starting as an HVAC installer.

Jason lives in Holtwood with his beautiful wife Jodie and their sweet daughter Jayleigh. They attend Freedom Life Church and enjoy spending time outdoors.
Ashley LeClair
Sales Coordinator
Ashley has been with the JK team for three years. After beginning with our Client Relations Team, Ashley is excited to continue caring for our clients as Sales Coordinator for the HVAC Residential Replacement team. In her free time, she likes to bake and spend time with family. Ashley lives in Willow Street with her boyfriend Tyler and their dog, Branson.
Robert Clement
Project Manager
Rob is a valued member of the family at JK Mechanical utilizing his vast experience in the field of HVAC to manage our team members in the execution of HVAC replacements and additions. Rob has more than a decade of “in the field” experience that allows him to ensure our customers have an exceptional JK experience.

Outside the office, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Jamie, and their two little girls. He enjoys taking hikes in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, as well as being an avid hunter.
Casey Blackwell
Plumbing Manager
Casey has over 15 years’ experience in the plumbing field, ranging from residential service and new construction to commercial construction. He learned the trade through hands-on experience as well as through ABC’s apprenticeship program. He owned and operated Blackwell Mechanical for over 6 years before heading up the JK Plumbing team. He takes pride in his work and strives to do every job to the best of his ability. His responsibilities at JK Plumbing include overseeing all aspects of the Plumbing department including service, new construction, and project management.

Casey has been married to his beautiful wife Emily for 12 years. They reside in New Holland with their two daughters, Lilly and Addy. Casey is an avid hunter who loves the outdoors and spending time with his family at their cabin. When not in the woods, he enjoys watching football and baseball. His family also attends Mt. Zion UMC where he coaches the church's slow-pitch softball team.
Opal Denlinger
Office Dog
Opal has been with JK Mechanical since her mom Ashley started as a Client Relations Specialist in 2022. As Office Dog, her responsibilities include supervision and maintaining morale. Her interests include napping, treats, belly rubs, and more treats.

Fred Bentley
Commercial HVAC Estimator
Fred joined JK Mechanical in 2015 and brings years of experience in estimating and managing commercial HVAC projects. Having earned the Penn State Certification for Project Management, this resident of the Lancaster area for 54 years loves his family. He has been married for 33 years, has five children and 4 grandchildren.
Dave Harnish
Commercial Department Project Manager
The one-time Operations Manager for all of JK Mechanical, Dave has now turned his attention to Commercial HVAC Install and is the Project Manager for all Commercial HVAC construction projects. Dave has been with JK Mechanical for 28 years and when not at work, enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, and mountain biking.
Mike Brooks
Commercial Service Manager
JK Commercial Service Manager Mike Brooks has been with the JK Commercial team since 2018 and has more than 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he lived in Florida for several years before returning to PA. He lives in Lancaster with his wife Beth and their cute dog Brandy.
Martin King
Commercial Replacement Manager
Martin serves the JK Mechanical team as the Commercial HVAC Replacement Manager, focusing on Commercial retrofit and replacement projects. Before joining the JK team in 2018, Martin spent more than 20 years in the HVAC industry, including 8 years as the Head of Commercial Refrigeration Install at Triangle Refrigeration. Martin has six children and resides in Manheim with his lovely wife Kristen.
Jon Hershey
Commercial Planned Maintenance Sales
Jon joined the JK Commercial team in 2021 as our Commercial Planned Maintenance Salesman. Jon specializes in custom planned maintenance solutions for commercial, multi-family, and industrial HVAC clients of all sizes. Jon is from Manheim and worked in sales for several years before joining the JK team. In his free time Jon enjoys following sports and winning at fantasy football.
Ryan Kelly
Commercial HVAC Replacement Sales
Ryan was born and raised in Nebraska and has lived in PA since 2007. He has been in the HVAC field since 2008, first spending 10 years in service and then an additional four in estimating and sales. As the Commercial HVAC Replacement Sales Consultant for JK Mechanical, Ryan works with commercial and multi-family facilities to design a heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to suit any need or budget. Ryan lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife Ashlee and their two children, Breslynn and Ryker. He spends most of his free time trying to keep up with his kids and their activities and also enjoys golfing, fishing, and watching sports.
Mark Espenshade
Residential New Construction Senior Account Manager
Mark has been with JK Mechanical since May of 2002-- almost 20 years! As part of the New Construction department, Mark designs and estimates HVAC systems for our residential builder partners. Mark lives in Landisville a with his wife Jenny and has three children. He is an Elder and choir-member at his church, Westminster Presbyterian in Lancaster.
Chris Thomas
Residential New Construction HVAC Sales Consultant
Chris is responsible for designing heating and air conditioning solutions for residential homes and light commercial projects. With over 25 years of experience he offers creative solutions for even the most challenging request. Geothermal heating and cooling and radiant floor heat are his specialties. One career highlight was installing a geothermal heating system for a house boat. Chris and his wife live in Pequea Township and are proud parents of 5 children. He enjoys volunteering with a local church student ministry as well as camping, hiking and kayaking.
