Winter Safety Tips from JK Mechanical

We recommend following these smart home safety guidelines as we wait for warm weather to return:

• Check the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors regularly. More time spent indoors can increase the risk of CO2 exposure, particularly if you heat with a furnace. If your detectors are more than 10 years old, the entire device may need to be replaced.
• In inclement weather, check and clear the outdoor furnace vents of any snow, ice, or other debris.
