National Preparedness Month – TR Receptacles
September 26th, 2013 by admin
Tamper Resistant (TR) Receptacles – Are you tired of chasing plastic inserts to keep them in your outlets to protect your children or grandchildren from the risk of electrical shock? TR receptacles are the answer! The National Electrical Code (NEC) now requires all homes to utilize TR receptacles. These new receptacles (outlets) have an internal shield that require equal pressure on both prongs in order to plug something in, thus prohibiting a child from randomly inserting an object into the outlet and getting shocked. Your old receptacles can easily be replaced by these new safer outlets by our qualified electricians, helping to protect children from the possibility of an electrical shock.
